Louis Vuitton Set to Open a New Exhibit in Paris called “Volez, Voguez, Voyagez”

Louis Vuitton has recently announced that they are set to open up a special exhibit at the Grand Palais this winter that will show off and display a range of the products that they have released over the years. Louis Vuitton opened up a museum in Paris back in October of 2014, and are now continuing with the trend of having exhibitions and displays for their products.

The exhibit is called “Volez, Voguez, Voyagez” which is French for “fly, sail, travel” as they are paying testament to their roots as a brand. While they are now known as a luxury fashion house that produces a range of different products, Louis Vuitton got their start in 1854 as trunk manufacturer. This new exhibit will detail how Louis Vuitton went from a trunk manufacturer into one of the most valuable luxury brands in the entire world. The exhibit will display some of the companies early trunks, which are practically priceless, in addition to a range of other products that detail the evolution of the brand over the years. The exhibit will also contain some of Louis Vuitton’s (the founder), personal collection, which again, are essentially priceless antiques. Additionally the exhibit will provide a deep insight into the history of this beloved brand.

High-fashion products can definitely be considered works of art, at least in my opinion, so it makes some sense as to why they are launching this exhibit. The entire exhibit will be spread out throughout nine rooms in the Salon d’Honneur, and each room will have it’s own theme. It is interesting as to why they picked the Grand Palais to host the exhibit, as again, they have their own museum. Regardless, the exhibit will open up on December 4th and run to February 21st and it should be enticing.
