Jaguar Unveils ‘F-Type Inspired’ Driving Shoes

Jaguar F-Type Event At Castello di Gabbiano

If you’re going to purchase a Jaguar F-Type you’re most-likely going to step your vehicle game-up. You cannot step your car game up without stepping your shoe game up at the same time. Well, at least that’s what Jaguar thinks….

Luxury car manufacturer Jaguar has teamed up with Oliver Sweeney to design a collection of ‘driving shoes’ to tribute the new F-Type range. The Jaguar shoes are available in a distinct carbon fibre print leathers and sandwich nubuck leathers. Oliver Sweeney has designed the shoes to come in red, navy and black – symbolically linking the to the various interiors of the F-Type sports car.

Of the shoes, Sweeney said: “The shoes are styled on a device that mimics as closely as possible the natural contours of the foot, and we have removed the shank to sustain extensive durability and flexibility. This ensures our shoes provide a real connection between the driver, the vehicle and the road.”

Prices for the shoes start at $325 for the leather style and $375 for the carbon fibre shoes. They are currently available online.

This isn’t the first time a luxury car maker has attempted to connect shoes and high-end vehicles. Mercedes launched foot-gear in parallel with its SLS AMG Supercar in 2010. Sales of the shoes never really took off.
