While many films that come out during February are often not the best of the year, the comedy-spy film Kingsman: The Secret Service is surprising critics and movie-goers around the world and is receiving pretty good reviews. The film is sort of an action/comedic spoof of James Bond that is thoroughly entertaining and fun. While watching the film you may notice that the majority of the cast wears extremely dapper outfits: amazing suits, classy brogues, and suave sunglasses. Well if you were a fan of the movie, especially the outfits, you can now buy some of the costumes.
While many films like to keep their costumes, that isn’t the case with Kingsman thanks to the movies director, Matthew Vaughn. Vaughn new that the outfits in the film would become very popular, so he wanted to give fans a chance to purchase them. Vaughn partnered up with the e-commerce site known as Mr. Porter to offer the films costumes, accessories, and apparel to fans around. If you want to get your hands on some of the merchandise, you better bring your wallet as they are fairly expensive. Prices range from $95 dollars for a pocket square to $24,430 for the Bremont watch.
Ever since Vaughn made the films X Men: First Class, franchises, films that have heavy amounts of emphasis on costumes/costume design, Vaughn wanted to improve ways that films could sell merchandise. So he approached the people at Mr. Porter and pitched his idea. Working with the films costume designer, Arianne Phillips, the two delivered a line of bespoke goods for this site based on the costumes from the movie.
All of the goods in the collection are made in Britain and are very premium and some are made in partnerships with prominent labels like Turnbull & Asser, Swaine Adeney Brigg, and Lock & Co. The collection includes watches, pocket squares, ties, shoes, many suits, sweaters, shirts, and much more. The entire collection can be viewed over at the Kingsman page at Mr. Porter’s site here. So if you want to dress sup like a spy from the movie, you can really make that happen.
