The New Zenos E10 R Is Built For One Thing: Speed

Zenos E10 R

What happens when executives from Lotus and Caterham leave their respective companies to start a new company that makes high-end, track-day cars? Well nothing short of amazing that is, as that is the story with Zenos Cars, a small car manufacturer from the United Kingdom. They solely produce two-seater track-day cars that are entirely about a pure driving experience. The first car that they made was the E10, and have since updated the vehicle a few times over its various iterations. Now they are showing off their E10 R, and it is their fastest vehicle to-date.

The Zenos E10 R, like all of their vehicles, are completely designed with high-performance driving in mind. This is a car whose primary function is to offer the most pure driving experience imaginable, nothing more and nothing less. The Zenos E10 R has received a new engine upgrade, allowing it to be faster than ever. It is rocking a 2.3-liter turbocharged EcoBoost engine that delivers a total of 350 bhp. That might not seem like much, but the Zenos is a small, two-seater vehicle that is primarily made from carbon fiber and aluminum and it lacks things like air conditioning, a windshield, and other aspects that weigh conventional cars down. Since it is fairly small and it only weighs just 1,543 pounds, the vehicle can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 3 seconds. That’s Ferrari-esque levels of acceleration. With a top speed of 155 mph, it’s also fairly fast as well.

The vehicle is fairly bare-bones, but that’s to be expected as this is a car that you will only realistically drive on a closed circuit. The E10 R also has new wheels, an upgraded platform, new brakes and callipers, and an updated cockpit amongst other improvements. For a car enthusiast that wants a purpose-built vehicle for the sole purpose of racing and recreation, the Zenos E10 R is quite compelling. And you get this great car for just $60,000 dollars. Okay that is a lot for a track-day car, however it is easily one of the most premium track-day cars money can buy. If you want a vehicle whose sole purpose in life is to go very fast around race tracks, the Zenos E10 R is for you. The car is set to go on sale come January, and after that we can see just how well it can perform on the track.
