Panoz is a relatively small American automobile manufacturer that produces a variety of different sports cars. At only 25 years old, the company is fairly young however they produce some solid boutique sports cars that are worth taking a look at. They have produced a few different models over the years and they have recently just shown off their all new Esperante Spyder GT.
It was only last year did we see the company unveil their brand new Esperante Spyder, and now they have made that vehicle even better with the new GT version. The company has released this new model to commemorate their 25 year anniversary, and they are appropriately only producing 25 Esperante Spyder GT’s in total. So what do you get if you are one of the 25 buyers that decides to purchase this little boutique car?
The Esperante Spyder GT is a fairly light sportscar with a great power-to-weight ratio due to the materials that it is made from. The vehicle features a ultra-lightweight aluminum body, a carbon-fiber superstructure, carbon fiber detail work, and tubular-steel subframes. When it all comes together the car weighs around 3,300 pounds which is pretty good considering it has a large 4.6 liter V8 engine that packs 560 horsepower. If that engine is not powerful enough for your tastes, buyers can also choose to upgrade it to a supercharged engine that delivers over 750 horsepower. Buyers can also choose between a six speed manual transmission or a six speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters. The vehicle also has a aerodynamic body and a large carbon-fiber front splitter to increase maneuverability and to improve the downward flow of air.
The interior of the vehicle is fairly standard yet very functional. The cars interior comes with black leather and carbon fiber parts that is accentuated with yellow stitching and yellow detail work. You will also find all of the modern elements that cars have like a multimedia system and a navigation system. If you’re looking to pick up one of these cars then be prepared to shell out a considerable amount of money. The vehicle starts at $204,000 without options. We feel that the car is priced too high, as for that kind of money one can purchase a variety of other cars from larger and better-known manufacturers. Still the Esperante Spyder GT sounds like a cool car, but is it worth that hefty price tag?
