It’s still the season for brand new cars to be rolled out and revealed by companies. With more international auto shows coming up as the year continues, it’s the prime time for companies to really market and show off their newest models. Mercedes is bringing out their SL roadster, which is a classic looking model, but adding a special edition flare to it. For the car’s 60th anniversary Italian endurance racing event, the company is celebrating the history of the car with a limited edition model that looks amazing.

The SL roadster is a sleek looking convertible that is one of Mercedes flagship cars. The car was used 60 years ago to win the Mille Miglia which is a race course that is just around one thousand miles long. The race is a yearly occurrence in Italy that covers the ground between Brescia to Rome and back. The new Mercedes SL Mille Miglia 417 is only going to have 500 built in total. The company has drawn most of their inspiration from the 1955 model that set the record and won the race all those years ago. It’s an AMG model with a stunning black  paint job with red accents. These colors are also the same on the interior giving it a consistent look.

The SL roadster is featuring a V6 twin turbocharged engine under the hood with the ability to upgrade to a V8 if the customer would like. It also features special AMG alloy wheels as well as AMG carbon framed leather seats on the inside that are a nice luxury touch. Multiple parts of the car are decked out in carbon fiber which is the nicest material that can be used on cars nowadays. Mercedes is preparing to bring the car out for the first time at the Geneva Motor Show which takes place between March 5th and 15th and the car will be available for order soon after on April 7th.
