Maserati’s Alfieri Concept Takes a Little of the Old and New

Maserati Alfieri Concept

Maserati has always been one of the top luxury sports car brands that is known for their sleek body and trident logo. The company has been in somewhat of a dead zone throughout the past couple of years while others have been able to close the gap and establish equally as sought after high end vehicles. 2015 seems like it will be a fresh year for Maserati as they plan to release a new concept car called the Maserati Alfieri that will hopefully re-elevate the company to its position as one of the best luxury car brands in the entire market.

The car was originally revealed at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show and caught the eyes of many. The Alfieri Concept is designed to blend new and old by keeping the traditional Maserati body design while revitalizing just about everything else. The car is 9.5 inches shorter than usual but hides a V8 engine under its hood that puts out 454 horsepower and 394 pounds of torque. The body design looks fantastic with its liquid metal coloring and blue brakes and looks the same car but with a new edge.

The Alfieri concept has a very luxurious and futuristic interior design that has the seats, dashboard, and center console all made out of soft aniline leather that comes right from Poltrona Frau. The seats are extremely comfortable and offers a great amount of leg room.

The car gets its name from the company’s founder, Alfieri Maserati, adding to the idea of blending the past with the present and should do the original creator proud. The Alfieri concept is still currently in the design stages and being finalized for production sometime soon. The company is planning to have the concept car ready to be released into the market as a reality sometime during next year in 2016.
