Maserati Levante

There’s an ongoing global trend in the automotive industry where consumers are becoming increasingly interested in luxury SUVs, which is why they have been some of the most popular vehicle the past few years. BMW, Mercedes-Benz, and Porsche have increased production of their luxury SUV offerings while brands like Jaguar and Bentley have recently created their first SUVs. Well Maserati is following suit as they have officially unveiled their first SUV, the Levante.

Currently not much is entirely known about the Levante besides what it looks like, as Maserati has only really revealed pictures of the vehicle. Regardless the Maserati Levant is expected to feature an 8-speed automatic transmission, an electronic suspension system, air springs, and a “Q4” intelligent all-wheel drive system.

The vehicle is expected to come in a few different configurations that feature V6 and V8 engines. It’s rumored that the V8 could offer some 580hp in total, which will make this car comparable to the other luxury SUVs out on the market. It’s also expected that plug-in hybrid version will come later as well.

Maserati will officially unveil the Levante at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show where they will then fill us in on the rest of the details. Based on what the car looks like and what we know right now, we are certainly excited to see more from Maserati as the Levante will likely be yet another premium SUV for consumers.
