If the standard Lamborghini Huracán just wasn’t “fun” or crazy enough for you (although, that would probably be very difficult) then you should definitely check out the newly unveiled Huracán LP 580-2 from Lamborghini. The vehicle has been altered in the slightest of ways that, when combined together, make a big difference. It looks more aggressive, they’ve added new rims and tires, but most importantly it has a rear-wheel drive configuration.
The normal Huracán comes standard with a four-wheel-drive configuration, and while there’s nothing wrong with that, most car enthusiasts will agree that rear-wheel cars are generally more fun. The reason why? Well rear-wheel drive vehicles are less grippy, meaning you can slide out the tail end, do donuts, and drift with incredible ease.
The Lamborghini Huracán LP 580-2 also features a slightly altered engine compared to the standard models. It’s packing a 5.2-liter naturally aspirated engine that delivers a whopping 580 hp in total and 540 Nm of torque. It is able to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in just 3.4-seconds flat and it will be able to reach speeds of 198 mph in total. Lamborghini says they’ve designed this car with fun in mind, and that certainly seems like the case.
But this car is certainly not for the faint of heart. Let’s just say that rear-wheel supercars with V10 engines are quite a lot to manage. But if you can control the insanity that is the Huracán LP 580-2, then you will be pleasantly surprised with what the car can do. Available around the world, the Lamborghini Huracán LP 580-2 is expected to cost around $201,000 dollars which makes it one of the more “affordable” Lamborghinis that you can buy new. All-in-all, the Huracán LP 580-2 is just as insane as any Lamborghini.
