Jaguar Unveils Special Edition F-Type Called The British Design Edition

A solid sports car was largely absent from Jaguar’s lineup for quite along time, at least that is until they released the F-Type back in 2012. The Jaguar F-Type quickly became one of the brands best vehicles and it was meant to continue what the old E-Types set out to accomplish back in the day. Well to celebrate the massive success of the F-Type, Jaguar has created a special edition version called the British Design Edition.

Based on the F-Type S, the British Design Edition takes it’s influence from, unsurprisingly, the Union Jack. It is available in red, blue, white, and black, and it brings a number of style and design changes to the vehicle. The interior of the vehicle has been completely revamped and features black leather seats with red, blue, or white stitching. They’ve thrown in a carbon fiber center console, some 20-inch Cyclone wheels, and a host of “British Design Edition” badges that are found throughout the exterior and interior of the car.

Under the hood the F-Type British Design Edition features a 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 engine that pumps out 380 horsepower in total. There’s options for a six-speed manual transmission on an eight-speed automatic, rear or all-wheel drive, and all come standard with their Super Performance Braking system. Jaguar is set to launch the F-Type British Design Edition this spring and vehicles will start at around $110,400 for the coupe model and $118,000 for the convertible roadster.
