Get Ready for the New Generation Ford Mustang

2015 Ford Mustang

When one thinks of American automobiles, muscle cars are probably the first type of vehicles that come to mind. These vehicles are high-performing, 2-door sports cars that are relatively affordable and are outfitted with large engines, typically V8’s. Out of all the muscle cars that have ever been produced, the Ford Mustang is arguably the most famous and the most iconic one. When the Mustang was introduced back in 1964 it quickly became one of the best selling muscle cars of all time. We are now on the sixth iteration of the Mustang, and this new generation of Mustang’s may be the best ones yet.

The all new Mustangs are being offered in three different versions (four if you count the Shelby GT350) that should suite any muscle car fan’s needs. The base model starts at around $23,800 dollars and offers a turbocharged 2.3liter EcoBoost 4-cylinder engine that gives the car 310hp and 320lb-ft of torque. Not too bad at all considering the cars cost. But if you want more power, don’t worry. There is also a 3.7 liter V6 version, and the highly desirable 5.0 liter Ti-VCT V8 Mustang that truly embraces the nature of muscle cars. At the top-end there is also the extremely impressive Shelby GT350 whose 5.2 liter V8 offers over 500hp to the driver and is the most performance focused Mustang out of the bunch.

For many muscle car fans in certain countries, the best thing about these new Mustangs is that Ford will finally offer a right-hand drive version. So those looking to purchase a ‘Stang in the United Kingdom, Singapore, or Japan can finally do so. This is the first time a right-hand drive model is being offered in the entirety of Mustang history.

Mustang fans around the world should be pleased with this new generation of Mustangs, and I think they are some of the best looking ones that Ford has ever produced.
