Ford’s massive line of trucks is somewhat a realization that Ford is a serious manufacturer of trucks, both consumer and industrial grade. The Ford F150 has been an iconic American truck for some time, and what made Ford expand their truck line. Today the Ford F25o Super Duty truck is a massive step up from the F-150 and provides consumers with a truck that has amazing power and torque. Currently Ford makes a variety of F250’s, so we are going to take a look at the most expensive ones that they make.

5. F-250 XL – $31,045

The Ford F-250 XL is the first model available within the F-250 2014 line. While this truck is the base model it is still a powerful pickup truck. The two-door vehicle has a 6.2L SOHC 2-valve FlexFuel V8 engine under the hood that packs 385hp and 405 lb.ft. of torque. This engine uses standard gas as opposed to diesel fuel. The vehicle also features a specially made transmission that ensures the highest amounts torque (remember with trucks its all about torque, not necessarily horse power). It should be noted that cruise control is an optional feature and it does not come standard in this model. The engine can also be upgraded to a 6.7L 4 Valve Power Stroke V8 Diesel engine.

4. F-250 XLT – $34,765

As you will soon learn the majority of F-250 models feature slight improvement or additions from their less expensive brothers. The F-250 XLT is a slightly more improved version of the XL. The XLT has more adjustable seats, adjustable pedals, and slightly larger tires. This truck also has nicer options available for the vehicle. But when it comes down to it the XL and the XLT are strikingly similar.

The Lariat has the same engine options of the previous two models examined on our list. The cabin comes in either in the sizes of a regular cab, super cab, or crew cab like the other F-250 models. This particular model features a premium sony sound system, a rear facing camera, and a Ford SYNC with MyFord touchscreen computer system.

The F-250 King Ranch version of Ford’s Super Duty trucks takes the number 2 spot on our list with a price tag thats a little bit cheaper than an entry level Porsche sports car. The King Ranch version of the F-250 has a premium leather interior that is designed with the King Ranch logo, providing the vehicle with a more custom and limited feel. The vehicle also has telescopic mirrors that help drivers see behind their long trailers, in addition to an improved hitch system. The car also has a premium navigation and satellite radio system and also a 2-tone exterior color scheme. The King Ranch only comes in the larger 4-door crew cab option.

The F-250 Platinum is the most expensive version of the F-250 that one can buy and like all the other models examined, just has nicer features and options while still having the same engine options of the F-250 XL. The Platinum features a larger 4-door crew cab and all chrome hardware found throughout the vehicle.
