The Most Expensive Aston Martin Cars Ever Sold

Aston Martin Enjoy Continued Growth In Luxury Car Market

The world famous auto-manufacturer, Aston Martin, is the British company whose luxury cars have become historically iconic. They are also famously known for providing James Bond with his set of wheels.  The company was founded in 1913 and came to prominence as a legitimate manufacturer of luxury vehicles in the 50’s. Since then the company prospers and produces a wide range of quality vehicles.

In 2013 Aston Martin signed a deal with Daimler AG to supply new Mercedes-AMG power plants for the next generation line up. Daimler AG now owns 5% of Aston Martin. Mercedes-AMG will also supply Aston Martin with electrical systems. This technical partnership will support Aston Martin’s launch of a new generation of models that will incorporate new technology and V8s. Given their stature and quality, many Aston Martin’s sold at auctions sell for incredible prices; we are going to look at the 5 most expensive ones ever sold.

5. The One-77 – $1.4 Million

Australian International Motor Show Kicks Off In Sydney

First up on our list is the Aston Martin One-77. The One-77 is an extremely unique and limited vehicle. The name of the car is a sort of play on words, as there are only 77 of these supercars in the world. The One-77 was first debuted in 2008 in Paris, and the vehicle has a whopping 7.3L V12 engine with around 750 hp.

4. The DB4 GT – $2.2 Million

Next up on our list is one of the classic Aston Martin’s that was produced between 1958 and 1963. These Aston’s go for incredible prices at rare and exotic car auctions. One was semi-recently sold at an auction for a little more that $2.2 million dollars. The vehicle had a 3.7L Tadek Marek 240 hp I6 engine, however you don’t buy these cars to drive them fast and aggressively. Although they are definitely up for the challenge.

Rare Bond Car To be Sold At Automobiles Of London Auction

Coming in at number 2 is the iconic Aston Martin used in the classic James Bond films. But the one in question is one of the two models that were used to film “Goldfinger” and “Thunderball” back in the 1960’s; the cars that had Sean Connery behind the wheel.  Since this is not only a super rare and classic vehicle, it is also literally James Bond’s.
