For many car enthusiast in the world, driving or owning a classic car is just a sublime experience, especially when driving a car brand that is recognized for their classic cars. Jaguar has produced a number of excellent vehicles over the years, and their old-school lineup of vehicles is very impressive. Unfortunately most people won’t get to experience what it would be like to drive an E-Type from the 1960’s or a SS1 from the 1930’s…until now.
The Jaguar Heritage Driving Program is offering paying customers a great opportunity to test drive some truly amazing classic cars. The company purchased James Hull’s collection of 543 British cars last year, worth collectively over $60 million, and many of them are classic Jaguars. Through the Jaguar Heritage Driving Program you can now pay to drive some of the most iconic Jag’s of all time like a 1946 C-Type, a 1961 E-Type, or a 1936 SS1.
The company will be offering a variety of different programs where you can take these awesome cars out on the track. The driving adventure takes place at the Fen End test track, just 40 minutes southeast of the Birmingham airport in the United Kingdom. Jaguar Land Rover recently acquired this track, and you can drive a class Jaguar on it, provided you pay first. For a limited time, customers can take out one of the many amazing old-school Jaguars on the track to have fun. The price range is pretty diverse: for $145 dollars you can take an MK II Coombs around the track, or drop $3,000 to use the track for an entire day. Some of the other Jag’s you can drive are a XK150, a E-Type Roadster, and 1950’s D-Type, and even a brand new F-Type. For a little less you can also pay to sit in the passenger seat. The track offers 1.44 miles of straightaways and turns, and I’m sure a memorable experience. Act quick, as they will only be doing this for the general public from March 27th to April 25th.
