Porsche Boxer

The Boxer

At $52,100 dollars the Boxer is the most affordable Porsche that you can buy. It’s their entry-level vehicle, and while they certainly make better cars, the Boxer isn’t “bad” by any standard. It’s got 265 hp and it’s a convertible. If you want a Porsche but cannot really afford one, this is the model to get.

Porsche Cayenne

The Cayenne Turbo S

The second vehicle on our list is the Cayenne Turbo S, and this may bother some readers. When the Cayenne was first introduced in 2002, it was met with mixed reviews. People weren’t sure why Porsche was attempting to build a large SUV. They’re a sports car manufacturer, not an SUV manufacturer. But still, the Cayenne is worthy of a place on our list. Whether or not you like it is one thing, however the Cayenne was of-sorts, the first of its kind. The Cayenne proved to the world that you can have a large SUV that was comfortable and luxurious, but one that could also perform. This opened up the market for performance-based SUV’s, and Porsche has made a few different versions of the Cayenne. The high-end Cayenne Turbo S has a twin-turbocharged 4.8-liter V8 engine that offers 570 hp. 0-60 mph is achieved in 3.8 seconds and it has a top speed of 176 mph. To give you some perspective, the Cayenne Turbo S accelerates 0.1 seconds slower than a Lamborghini Gallardo LP 560-4. That’s an incredible feat for a large SUV.

Porsche Cayman S

The Cayman S

The Cayman was first launched by Porsche in 2006, and like all Porsche models, it has been updated a few times since. There are a few different models of the Cayman, and one’s that are “better” than the Cayman S, however we feel that this is still one of the best they have. It’s a step above the entry level Boxer so it offers more performance and features, yet it’s also fairly affordable at $67,300. Sure that’s a lot, but we are dealing with Porches here, so all things considered, it’s a fair price for what the vehicle offers. 325 hp, 175 mph top speed, and a 0-60 mph time of 4.7 seconds. The Cayman S is a great value for sure.

Porsche 911 Carrera

The 911 Carrera

Most would agree that the 911 series contains arguably some of the best Porsches ever. The 911 has always been an incredible car, and the 911 Carrera is where things start to get serious. While it’s the entry-level 911, it’s still an impressive vehicle. It offers a 3.4-liter horizontally opposed 6 cylinder engine that propels the car up to speeds of 179 mph. Its 4.6 second 0-60 mph time is also impressive, and this 911 Carrera can equally perform both on the road and the track. This is the Porsche for drivers that want a performance vehicle, but don’t want to drop absurds amount of money. Still, the car retails for $84,300 so it’s not exactly cheap. But again, it’s a 911.

Porsche 911 Turbo

The 911 Turbo

So you’re finally ready to drop a lot of money on a high-performance vehicle, which one to get? Many will point to the 911 Turbo. The various iterations of the 911 Turbo have always been loved over the years, and the current model is not only one of the best Porches on the market, but arguably one of the best cars. While many Porsches look similar, don’t let that fool you. We are very much into supercar territory here with the $151,100 dollar 911 Turbo. It handles like a race car and offers 520 hp in total. With a 0-60 mph acceleration time of just 3.2 seconds and a top speed of 195 mph, the 911 Turbo is a formidable weapon that’s not for the faint of heart. The 911 Turbo has always been one of the brands most respected vehicles, and you cannot go wrong with owning one.

Porsche 918 Spyder

The 918 Spyder

Finally coming out on top is the 918 Spyder. Released in 2015 in a limited run of 918 units, the 918 Spyder is probably the best vehicle Porsche has ever created. It’s expensive at $847,000 dollars, but that’s to be expected when you consider what this vehicle offers. This is a hypercar by all standards. It has both a naturally-aspirated 4.6-liter V8 engine that delivers 608 hp and then two electric motors that offer 279 hp. That’s 887 hp in total, making the Porsche 918 Spyder one of the highest performing vehicles ever made. It has the fastest recorded lap time of any street legal vehicle on the Nurburgring. It has been recorded to accelerate from 0-60 mph in just 2.2 seconds and it can achieve speeds of 210 mph. It’s made with all the advanced computer systems and driving technologies that you could ask for as well. The 918 Spyder is on the bleeding edge of what’s possible for automobiles, and it is currently one of the fastest, highest-performing vehicles that money can buy.
