The 2015 Porsche Cayenne Launches in Singapore

The people of Singapore can finally rejoice as the long-awaited 2015 Porsche Cayenne has finally launched in the country. We often take cars for granted in countries where they are released almost immediately, and certain cars are sometimes not offered in foreign markets. Well Singaporeans can finally get their hands on Porsche’s most premium SUV/crossover.

The Porsche Cayenne was first released back in 2002 and was the companies first SUV/crossover. Porsche was pretty much always known for their sport and race cars, so when this vehicle was unveiled, many people were skeptical. Despite that, the Cayenne has lived to see another day and has become one of the more successful Porsche models that are currently offered. It’s also one of the most popular sport and luxury SUV’s/crossover’s as well.

Like all things Porsche, they take one body style and then make 15 different models all based on the same design. The Porsche Cayenne is the companies largest vehicle, and ranges widely in price. The basic model starts at $58,300 dollars while the nicest mode, the Cayenne Turbo S, costs $157,300 dollars. In between those two models are five other versions.

These newest Cayenne are the mid-life refresh of the second generation models. So from the outside they don’t look all that different but feature a few improvements on previous models like more powerful engines. The base model has a 3.6 liter V6 that offers 300 bhp. The Turbo S packs a 570hp 4.8 liter V8 that offers unbelievable amounts of power. These new 2015 models feature new front bumpers, tailgates, headlights, tail-lights, and bonnets. Outside of the base model, many other variants received performance upgrades.

Singapore is a prime target for Porsche as there is a lot of wealth in the city-state. The Porsche Cayenne sells best in a luxury environment, and with SUV sales on the rise, the new 2015 Porsche Cayenne is expected to sell very well in Singapore.
