Are you an avid fan of Kim Kardashian’s smartphone application? Well don’t be ashamed to admit it as the smartphone and tablet game is actually quite popular. Kim Kardashian: Holywood was released on the iTunes App Store and the Google Play Store back in 2014, and it’s blown up ever since. According to the developers behind the game, Glu Mobile, the application has earned some $100 million dollars since it launched.

The mobile application space has proven to be quite lucrative for not only app developers, but famous people like Kim Kardashian. Glu Mobile has announced that the application has been download some 42 million times in total, and is brining in a lot of revenue. Players of the game essentially try to live a lifestyle like the Kardashian’s with avatars that they create. You start out from working in a luxury retail store and work your way up to becoming famous. The application has plenty of in-app purchases, allowing you to buy virtual designer clothing, private jets, and furniture, for example. Despite being a free-to-play game, it is through these small in-app purchases that Kim Kardashian: Holywood was able to make $100 million dollars in revenue.

The application has fairly high ratings on both iTunes and the Google Play Store, so despite what you may say about Kim and the rest of the Kardashians, she certainly knows how to not only stay famous, but help create a successful mobile application.
