Nicki Minaj, born Onika Tanya Maraj, is an American rapper, singer, and pop-star who is well known in the music industry. She was born in Saint James, Trinidad and Tobago however she was raised in Jamaica,Queens, New York. Minaj grew to prominence in then late 2000’s after releasing a few popular mixtapes. These mixtapes then lead her to being signed to Young Money Entertainment in 2009. To this day Nicki Minaj has enjoyed a successful career: she is the most-charted female rapper in the Billboard Hot 100 charts, she has won a variety of music awards, and she has sold over 60 million records world-wide. We are going to take a quick look at her best selling albums of all time.

3. The Pinkprint – Over 418,000 Sales

The Pinkprint is Nicki Minaj’s most recent album, as it was released in December of 2014. The album was put out by Young Money, Cash Money, and Republic records and features Birdman and Lil’ Wayne as executive producers. The album was very successful and reached the number 2 spot on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart. The Pinkprint features the singles “Anaconda”, “Pills n Potions”, and “Only”.

2. Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded – 902,000 in the U.S. and 1.4 Million Worldwide 

Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded is the second album that was released by Nicki Minaj. Released on April 2, 2012 the album debuted at the number one spot on the charts. Nicki Minaj worked with many producers on the album including Alex da Kid, David Guetta, RedOne, and others. The album was supported by the singles “Starships”, “Right by My Side”, “Va Va Vroom”, and “Pound the Alarm”. It has been certified Platinum by the RIAA.

1. Pink Friday – Over 1.9 Million (U.S.)

Finally the best selling album from Nicki Minaj is her debut album, Pink Friday. The album was put out by Young Money, Cash Money, and Universal Motown Records and it was one of the most successful female rap albums of all time. Certified Platinum by the RIAA, it peaked at the number 1 spot on the Billboard charts and enjoyed 14 consecutive weeks in the top ten. The album features one of Minaj’s most popular songs “Super Bass” in addition to “Your Love”, “Moment 4 Life”, and “Fly”.
