It’s no great mystery that high-end fashion labels often create some pretty ridiculous products, and that is especially the case for Dolce & Gabbana. Their most recent creation is the limited-editon “Filigree Crown with Multicolor Crystals” and they’ve released the crown to coincide with the holiday season.
If you’ve ever wanted to feel like you were truly royalty, then this accessory is just for you. A first for the brand, the Dolce & Gabbana crown is just shy of the real deal. The filigree crown starts out with a base of gold-plated metal. Dolce & Gabbana then used a variety of Swarovski crystals to enhance the piece ever more. There are gold enamel flowers, round-cut pale yellow crystals, and nanette-shaped colorless crystals. The end result is a beautiful accessory that is not only unique, but also unsurprisingly very expensive at $3,550 dollars.
As beautiful as the crown is, you have to wonder who would actually “need” a crown or actually wear such an accessory. And then if you were to buy this piece (which you can’t as it almost immediately sold out) what exactly would you wear it with? Regardless, the Dolce & Gabbana crown is surprisingly popular and many fans of the fashion label seem to have purchased it just in time for the holiday season. I suppose some people really like to make themselves feel like royalty.
