The luxurious mansion and estate known as the Palazzo di Amore has been on the real estate market for sometime now, probably because the buyers are seeking $149 million dollars for the property. At that incredible price, this mansion is actually the most expensive mansion that’s currently for sale in the United States. In fact it has actually just dropped in price. When it was put on the market last year, it was priced at $195 million dollars. So what exactly does a home that costs this much actually look like?
There are many different things that make a home more expensive than others: features, the location, size, and the Palazzo di Amore has it all. I mean, it better have it all at that price. The mansion is located on 25-acres of land, so that alone is enough to raise the price. But it’s not located just anywhere, this home has 25-acres of land in Beverly Hills, and I think that fact can speak for itself.
From the air, we can start to see as to why this mansion costs so much money. Not only is it only pleasing to the eye in terms of design, but the sheer size of it is overwhelming. Just from this picture we can see the main house, two massive pools, a few gardens, and a “guest house” that’s large than many other mansions in the area. Additionally the incredible view of Los Angeles and the surrounding area don’t hurt the homes value either.
Everything about this home just radiates luxury, from the long driveway lined with olive trees to the regal furnishings, this mansion is fit for royalty. The main home offer 35,000-square-feet of interior living space, and then there’s a guest house and an entertainment center that offer an additional 18,000-square-feet of space together. All together, the estate offers 12 bedrooms and 23 bathrooms, with the master bedroom offering a total of 5,000-square-feet!
Palazzo di Amore is absurdly expensive for a reason, as the home is essentially a palace once you realize what it has to offer. Take the entertainment center/complex for example. That building has a private theater that seats 50, a personal bowling alley, a massive ballroom, and a dining room area that can accommodate 250 people comfortably. And remember, that’s not even the main home! There’s also a 128-foot pool complete with a fountain, a full-sized tennis court, a second pool, an exterior kitchen space, two wine cellars that can store 13,000 bottles in total, a large parking area that can hold 150 cars, and much more. Think about that for a second, the mansion has a separate building that can accommodate 250 guests and nearly all of their cars. I can’t imagine what kind of parties you need to have to warrant that kind of space. Oh, I also forgot to mention that the home also has it’s own vineyard which when worked to its fullest extent can produce around 450 cases of wine each year. With time, you can pay off the home through the sale of the wine that you make!
So to recap, the Palazzo di Amore isn’t really a mansion, rather it’s a modern-day palace. It’s absolutely massive, extremely luxurious, and is located on some of the most desirable land in the entire United States. Honestly it sort of seems like a deal that it “only” costs $149 million dollars, given what it has to offer. I just have to wonder what kind of person not only can afford a place like this, but at the same time, needs a home this large. Maybe that’s why it hasn’t been sold yet, as it’s just too over-the-top. Who knows? One thing is for sure, the Palazzo di Amore is the most expensive home that’s currently for sale in the United States.
