Starwood Hotels & Resorts is one of the largest, if not the largest, hotel and resort company in the entire world. They have thousands of properties all over the place and they own the brands such as Sheraton, St. Regis, Westin, and many more. Recently the company has been looking to expand even more buy purchasing up exiting hotels or constructing new ones. Well Starwood Hotels has just added one more hotel in their large portfolio, and it is Las Alcobas in Mexico City.
The addition to the companies long list of hotels are part of a big movement to gain a larger foothold in Latin America. Including this hotel, Starwood Hotels now has 94 properties in Latin America and the Caribbean, and they plan on opening up 15 more hotels by 2017. Now back to Las Alcobas. Las Alcobas is part of the companies “Luxury Collection” and it is a boutique hotel located in the heart of the upscale Polanco district.
Las Alcobas is the hotel for those that seek top-notch levels of luxury accommodations offered in a fairly small hotel package where one can seek relative levels of peace and comfort. There are only just 35 luxury guest rooms and suites to be found on the inside, however each room is unique and packed with features. One will find local art work, modern furniture from Italy, handmade rugs, HDTV’s, wood and leather detail work, walk-in dressing rooms, large bathrooms, BOSE surround sound systems, and much more.
The hotel offers guests access to their premium restaurant known as Anatol and their signature Aurora Spa for when you need to relax. Guests can also enjoy access to the 24-hour fitness center and they can make use of the Luxury Collection Concierge service that is found in all of Starwood’s Luxury Collection hotels. The hotel is also conveniently located near many local attractions, shops, art galleries, and restaurants so there is much to do here. No matter which way you look at it, Las Alcobas is a very premium hotel and a welcomed addition to the Starwood family.
