There is a wide range of wearable technologies on the market today that range from items that are downright cool to just plain silly. Wearable technology is much more than just smartwactches and there are many products out there that aim to make your life simpler via technology. Sill, wearable technology is still in some of its earliest phases, as many wearable products are still first-generation items. Despite that I believe that wearable technology is a worthwhile investment for some, and not a day goes by that I am without my Moto 360 smartwatch. So out of all the wearables on the market, what are some that you will actually want to wear? We are going to take a look at a list of 10 pieces of wearable technology that you will actually want to wear.

10. The Where’s Wallet
While you technically don’t “wear” a wallet in the sense of the word, I would still consider this smartwallet a form of wearable technology that is worth the investment. Known as the “Where’s Wallet”, this wallet is a recent Kickstarter project and it is essentially a wallet with a small chip in it that can pair to your smartphone. The benefit of this is that if you lose or misplace your wallet, you can then easily find it via the smartphone application. It’s simple, affordable, and a practical piece of wearable technology.

9. The Xiomi Mi Band
If you are into fitness and want to get into the world of wearable technology, but don’t know where to start, the Mi Band is a worthy investment. It is a small device that monitors you sleep and fitness activities that lets the user know how many steps they walked in a day or what their sleeping patterns are like, for example. In many ways it is similar to the popular Fitbit which pretty much does the same thing. So what’s the difference between the Fitbit and the Mi Band? Well Fitbit’s start at $129 dollars, and while they have a few more features than the Mi Band, you can pick up a Mi Band for under $20 dollars. So because it’s so affordable, the Mi Band is a great device for first-time wearable buyers.

5. The Huawei Watch
The Huawei Watch was just recently announced from the Chinese company, and it will be their first smartwatch. The watch will provide functions that range from reading notifications to monitoring fitness activities or even sending text messages. The watch will run Android Wear and will be similar to many of Android Wear devices. The Huawei watch will be available in a few different versions and is one of the first Android Wear watches to use sapphire glass. It is also, in my opinion, one of the nicest looking smartwatches around and since its from Huawei we can expect it to be very affordable.

4. The Apple Watch
Obviously we are going to include the Apple Watch, and while it hasn’t been released yet, I’m sure it will be very popular. For those that prefer iOS, this will be one of the first smartwatches that they can use (aside from the Pebble and a few others). Not to much is known about the watch as of now, but it will be available in many different configurations including a model made from gold. We should expect to see the watch released sometime this month or next month.
