Jimmy Choo and Others Design Cinderella’s Glass Slippers

Walt Disney Studios' D23 Expo - Day 1

Cindarella is a timeless story that everybody grows up watching, hearing or learning about. The biggest part of the story that everyone remembers is the iconic glass shoe that the princess leaves behind while running back home so the prince won’t see her true form. Now, some of the world’s top fashion designers are coming together to recreate their own luxury version of the glass slippers while collaborating with Disney for the upcoming release of their live action Cinderella movie that releases soon.

The company worked with 9 luxury designers that include Jimmy Choo, Salvatore Ferragamo, Nicholas Kirkwood, Suart Weitzman, Charlotte Olympia, and more. The shoes will certainly attract tons of women who have all once thought about being Cinderella or a princess at some point in their lives and they can at least these glass shoes. The designers want to recreate the childhood dream and create a magical shoe that glimmers beautifully. Swarovski also paid tribute to the film by creating a stunning figurine of the character and has provided crystals for the designer slippers.

The slippers will be extremely limited, but available in a decent amount of locations. The stores offering the glass slippers include Saks Fifth Avenue in both New York and Beverly Hills, Harrods in London, the Galeries Lafayette in Paris, Excelsior Milano in Milan, Tsum in Moscow, Isetan Shinjuku in Tokyo, and the Level Shoe District in Dubai. The designers and Disney want to offer these all around the world so everyone has a chance to get their hands on a pair and relate to the classic movie. The slippers will also be available in certain designer stores as well but they have not announced which specifically yet. There is no price point for the glass slippers either, but many will want to get their hands on this special item despite the price.
