In addition to being the first and only AAA Five Diamond mountain resort in California, it is also the only resort within its class that you can ski-in and ski-out of. The fact that you don’t need to travel to the slopes is pretty great.
From the lobby, to the dining room, to the massive suites, the entire hotel is beautifully decorated and looks really good. Since there is a heavy focus on the winter time here, the people at Ritz-Carlton ensured that there is plenty to do inside when you are not tearing up the slopes. From the multiple restaurants and bars, to the lounge and fitness center, you will not get bored here.
Another defining feature that this Ritz-Carlton posses is that it has a 17,000 foot square foot spa located right on the side of the slopes. So when you are feeling cold from skiing or snowboarding, you can come to the spa to warm up. The spa offers private messages and luxurious baths to ensure you are comfortable.
Obviously the rooms here are pretty amazing as well, no matter which one you pick. Every room has its own fireplace, which is a great added touch. The rooms range in size from the basic 455 square foot guest rooms, to the expansive Ritz-Carlton suite that offers 1,900 square feet of room. Additionally if those aren’t large enough, you can rent out one of their residences that are basically homes and can sleep eight people comfortably.
Depending on which residency you book, you can have one right on the slopes so all you have to do is open up your door, put your ski’s on, and then head out. While this Ritz-Carlton is a year-round resort, it really excels during the wintertime and it is an amazing place to come and stay.
