There are many different brands of luxury watches out there on the market. Sure, Rolex is probably one of the nicer brands, but everyone knows that. What if you want a watch that stands out from the pack, or a watch that is truly unique? Well there are many boutique luxury watch companies out there as well. These companies only produce their watches in extremely limited quantities that are made from the best materials and feature amazing complications. One of those companies would be Jean Dunand and their Palace timepiece is out of this world.
Jean Dunand is a relatively newer watch company as it first opened its doors in 2003. The company was formed by expert Swiss watchmaker and inventor Christophe Claret and horological entrepreneur Thierry Oulevay. Together they wanted to create some of the worlds most beautiful and complex timepieces, and they have certainly done exactly that.
Their Palace timepiece is pretty amazing and features some of the companies most complex movements. The watch features various design elements that are taken from popular locations and visual cues from the Industrial Revolution. The watch features a flying tourbillon, two oval-shaped tracks that indicate GMT and the watches 72 hour power reserve. The winding mechanism features a moving chain styled off of retro motorcycles. The watch also has a sliding rod transmission, 703 parts with 53 jewels, a chronograph counter for 60 minutes, a titanium frame with a gold bezel, 18 karat gold watch hands, and sapphire glass. This watch certainly is a sight to behold and you can loose yourself in it just watching the movements. The watch is also fairly large at measuring in at 1.8 by 1.9 inches. It is also fairly expensive at $410,000 dollars.
If you are looking for a premium watch that costs more than many peoples homes, the the Palace by Jean Dunand is for you. It is a truly spectacular watch to behold and each version is unique as they are made-to-order and produced entirely by hand. This watch is about as impressive as it gets.
