Niketown in New York City Really Has It All

Niketown’s are Nike superstores that are located throughout the world. While the majority of Nike products are sold at participating retailers like Foot Locker or through online transactions, Niketown’s are dedicated to selling just Nike products, while offering the consumer an unforgettable experience. While there are many different locations all across the world, and one of the most famous ones is located in New York City.

Located at 6 E 57th street in Manhattan, the New York Niketown is a massive building. Nike wishes to supply not only athletic gear, but also casual wear to everyone. The company realized that it was difficult to have all of their products put out for display, so they needed to create these superstores to meet their needs.

In a city as large as New York Nike needed to make a large store, and as the store has five floors, I would say that it is pretty large. Floors one through four are dedicated entirely to sneakers, shirts, sportswear, memorabilia, jerseys, and all things that are considered “traditionally Nike”. As one travels to the top floor, they will notice a change in the interior decor. While the first few floors are more “traditional”, the top floor has brick walls, and exposed ventilation vents; it is more “stylish”. This is because the top floor is dedicated to their casual clothing and clothing that is more fashion-oriented.

This Niketown is also a hot spot for sneaker-heads looking for the latest and greatest shoes that only come out in limited quantities. Given the size and location of this store, fans can always be certain that this store will get the sneakers that the want, and in large quantities. While certain Foot Lockers outside of the city may only get, say 20 pairs of a certain limited shoe for example, one can be certain that Niketown will have hundreds, if not thousands of pairs. But, you gotta be the New York crowds to get them.

Niketown really has it all, and if you are a fan of the brand, an athlete, or just a casual shopper looking for sportswear, you definitely have to check out the Niketown in New York.
