Dubai Plans To Have the Largest Twin Towers in the World

Morning breaks over the city skyline of Dubai

Dubai is a city known for their massive buildings, real estate and constant expansion. The location is still growing, but at a fast pace and now there are even more plans to build taller skyscrapers. While Dubai already is home to the world’s largest building, it appears they are trying to break their own record and build the world’s largest twin towers, which are a part of a project called “The Lagoons”.

The planned twin towers would be the focal point of the new Dubai skyline, in what they are calling “a city of the future” despite not even having an architect chosen yet. The project is being controlled by Emaar Properties along with Dubai Holding and the towers would offer residential living spaces within the 40 storeys. The Lagoons in general will cover over 6 million square meters and even have its own transportation systems for residents. The goal is to have The Lagoons be very environmentally friendly with sustainable ecosystems and all park areas.

The location will also include the Dubai Creek Harbour at The Lagoons which is a cluster of luxury waterfront properties with amazing views. These Creek Harbour apartments will also include cultural amenities along with healthcare centers and plenty of retail stores to shop at. The Dubai Creek apartments opened for pre-sale three days ago on the first of November throughout Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and even London and Moscow.

Certain lucky couples, families, or people were lucky to reserve their pre-order were they quick enough in what looks to be an amazing location on the waterfront of The Lagoon. While the Dubai Creek residences are moving ahead as planned, the twin towers are still a long way from being completed. There is no architect and a starting construction date has also not been announced, so it will be interesting to monitor the progress of what would be two astonishing buildings.
