Fashion and technology are two of the most relevant and stylish concepts. Why is it that the world spends so much money upgrading to a new smart phone each time one is unveiled, even though the one they currently own is only a few months old and in amazing condition? The answer is fashion; people want the latest and the best, and that’s where the worlds of fashion and technology collide, and no one knows this better than Apple.
The company has introduced its first smart watch and announced that it’s being launched on Valentine’s Day 2015. Apple also introduced the very first iWatch at the trendy store Colette earlier this week.
“It’s complementary,” says Sarah Andelman, the creative director and purchasing manager of the store when discussing the smart watch. It was important for both Apple and the trendy boutique to ensure that the world is aware of the fact that the Apple iWatch is not a horrible thing. Many people live with the misconception that it’s going to be a big, bulky plastic piece of technology that happens to fit around their wrist, and they couldn’t be more wrong. It’s actually a sleek and interesting piece designed to help ensure men and women alike enjoy its style.
The watch has a line of straps that are interchangeable, so that true fashionistas aren’t stuck with just one strap and one look at all times. Additionally, the straps are attached magnetically, which makes it even more stylish. Even though it looks great, the most exciting part about this watch is its features. Imagine having something on your wrist that allows you to signal messages, read information and check the weather with the tap of your finger.
The future of fashion and technology is here, and it’s about time. We’ve only been dreaming of something like this since “Back to the Future,” and “The Jetsons.”
