Lürssen Launches the 312-foot Megayacht Kismet

German shipbuilder Lurssen designs and builds some of the most spectacular megayachts in the world, and its newest megayacht is no exception to the rule. In August, the shipbuilder came out with an all new megayacht that was once referred to as Project Global. The 312-foot yacht by the name of Kismet was commissioned by a client of Lurssen that was looking to have a yacht bigger than his current megayacht made by the company, which was only 223-feet long. This upgrade is a significant one, and it marks a major milestone for the German shipbuilder.

Espen Oeino, naval architect, designed the exterior of the boat. The grey and black deckhouse features white highlights and impressive windows. All four decks feature these impressive windows that are designed to optimize views. The exterior deck is equipped with areas in which guests and passengers can lounge, eat, enjoy the warmth of the fireplace, and barbeque. There is also a pool and a Jacuzzi.

Reymond Langton Design is responsible for the interior of this megayacht. Each of the public spaces is designed to accommodate a large number of guests. There are six staterooms that can accommodate two people per room, and there is a master suite. Each room features a myriad of different textures designed to amplify the space and make it appear as luxurious as possible; this includes everything from real wood to leather to marble.

This month the yacht is being chartered through the Caribbean. The yacht will be available on a weekly basis for the price of $1.6 million per week. Chartered through Moran Yacht and Ship, passengers who rent this boat for the week will enjoy a full array of cooked meals, cocktails and a full service staff as they cruise through the tropical waters of the Caribbean Sea.
