Antique Arms And Armour Go On Display At Bonhams Ahead Of Their Auction

Guns are something that people either love or hate, and despite all of the modern problems revolving around guns, they have a lot of history and have evolved so much since their original inception. Certain historical firearms are very valuable nowadays and actually have massive appeal and are prized items for gun collectors around the world. Here are the most expensive guns ever made.

5. 20 Bore Sidelock Ejector Over and Under Shot Gun – $200,000

This gun was created by the company J Purdey and Sons, a company founded back in 1814. The company focuses on producing handmade guns (which this one is) and shipping them around the world. The shotgun is meant to be used for sporting or hunting and looks very nicely crafted. The metal and wood used to create this shotgun are both well polished and give the gun a nice feel and look in the user’s hands.

4. SCO Shotgun (set of four) – $200,000-$400,000

The SCO shotgun was made by one of the most famous gun making companies; Perazzi. The company is located in Italy and their guns are a hot interest for collectors and athletes everywhere. The SCO shotgun comes in a set of four which is neat because each of the guns is unique and efficient. The guns are great for sporting and feature automatic ejectors, single selective triggers, and use Circassian Turkish Walnut wood for their body.

3. VO Vapen (Falcon Edition) – $820,000

VO Vapen is a gun company that operates out of Sweden and has been around since 1977. The company is known for their top of the line hunting rifles and the Falcon Edition gun is just that. This gun has very intricate designs on its metal pieces, the Falcon Edition even featuring a falcon design. The wood is deep walnut which gives the gun a very nice finish and only adds to the classy look of VO Vapen products.

2. Nicolas-Noel Boutet Pistols – $1.8 million

These pistols were crafted by Nicolas-Noel Boutet and hold even more historical value because they were owned by Simon Bolivar, the first president of Venezuela. They have a very nice looking dark wooden finish and nice polished metal that looks great in the case these are presented in. The set of pistols were sold at Christie’s auction house for $1.8 million back in 2004.

1. George Washington’s Pistols – $2 million

These two pistols are steel mounted saddle pistols that were owned and used by George Washington during the Revolutionary War.
