The announcement that a family is expecting a new baby is often met with the gift of Pampers diapers and Baby Gap onesies and perhaps a few personalized items ordered straight from a trendy Etsy shop. When celebrities announce they’re expecting a new baby, however, the gifts they receive often come in the form of items slightly more expensive. These celebrity parents certainly use the same diapers as the rest of the world, but their other baby items are far more luxurious and expensive. In fact, they’re some of the most expensive baby items in the world.
Beyonce and Jay-Z
When the music superstar duo welcomed their daughter, Blue Ivy, into the world, they commissioned a $50,000 pram from a Dubai-based designer. Elton John and David Furnish
What this power couple bought their son Zachary, born via surrogate in 2010, upon his birth is potentially the most expensive and impressive gift yet. David and Victoria Beckham
Welcoming daughter Harper into the world was a first for the Beckhams, already being the parents to three boys. Being their only daughter, they’re already spoiling her. The former Spice Girl reportedly hired famous shoe designer Christian Louboutin, whose shoes typically retail for approximately $1000 a pair, to design baby booties for baby Harper complete with his signature red sole. It’s also reported that the couple spent close to a quarter million on baby items from luxe baby boutique Petit Tresor with which to decorate baby Harper’s nursery.
