According to Luxuo, a very limited edition collection of iPhones is being released by luxury goods group Alchemist London. The price of one of these iPhones, $1 million. So what’s the catch?
Each phone features 700 crystals and are encased in 24-carat gold handmade casing. The main navigation button holds a single cut two-carat diamond. And just when you thought we were going overboard – the Apple logo on the back is fabricated from 53 diamonds. Right now, there are currently only 4 of these limited edition iPhones fabricated. There are two iPhone 5 models and two iPhone 5S models.
Alchemist London, a luxury operation that is known for its extravagantly beautiful creations, spoke about the process of creating these iPhones. They described the process as “a challenge of epic aesthetic and technical proportions”. They nailed it nonetheless. The images of the iPhone are absolutely breathtaking and pretty cool – not saying we would ever spend $1 million on it.
Believe it or not, these limited edition iPhones aren’t the most expensive iPhones ever to be created. In 2013, luxury company Stuart Hughes, created a gold and diamond iPhone that was valued at $15 million. The phone had a 24-carat black diamond where the home key should be.
