Is Everyone Ready For Smart Glasses in the Workplace?

Google Glass

Smart glasses are the next big technological product that should see a big jump in sales relatively soon. The Google Glass concept has been very exciting to watch progress and soon enough they should be releasing to the mass market at more reasonable and affordable prices. ABI Research is calculating that in 2015 the smart glasses market will increase their sales by 150% and there will be a major boost in interest as well. Over the next 12 months the smart glasses products should be shipping out to customers everywhere and launching the trend mainstream.

The Google Glasses were revealed originally back in 2012 but have finally been slowly moving into the market during 2013 where certain people were able to buy them for a steep price of $1,500 and eventually in 2014 they rolled out to the general public for the same price. While the Google Glass program is on hold for now, the ways that the technology can be used are continuing to shine through and show just how great the product can be if unleashed at a reasonable price.

Despite the general need for the glasses being very minimal, having smart glasses would be very fun for people and the next big technological advancement that everyone would want to get their hands on. Hopefully Google will soon find a way to mass produce the glasses when there is more of a need and desire for them in the industry. Most people in the world nowadays have a need for glasses or contact lenses which can somewhat conflict with the smart glasses concept or at least make it tougher for them to work with everyone when needing specific prescriptions. The Google Glasses are still going to be shipping out during 2015 but 90% of the sales will be for businesses and not for individual consumers.
