Center Fielders are an important part of the baseball team; they are fast dynamic players who can steal bases and cover lots of ground in the outfield. The best center fielders make a decent amount more than the rest of the field and their talent reflects how worth it they are. These are the richest center fielders in Major League Baseball.

5. Adam Jones – $13.3 Millon

Adam Jones made his MLB debut for the Seattle Mariners in 2006 but was eventually traded to the Baltimoire Orioles in 2008. Since then Jones has stayed put in Baltimore and been a four time all star, three time golden glove winner, and one time silver slugger award winner.

4. Michael Bourn – $13.5 Million

Michael Bourn started out playing for the Philadelphia Phillies in 2006 in left field. He stayed with the Phillies until 2007 and went to the Houston Astros. Bourn was with Houston until 2011 and then spent a year with the Braves until landing in Cleveland last year. Bourn is a two time all star and golden glove winner as well as a three time NL stolen base champion. Cleveland is currently paying him $13.5 million.

3. B.J. Upton – $14.05 Million

B.J. Upton started out playing for the Tampa Bay Rays back in 2004 and had some highs and lows there. Upton is a solid player but struggled when he joined the Braves in 2013 when he had a batting average of only .184 and 26 RBI through 126  games.

2. Andre Ethier – $15.5 Million

Andre Ethier has played for the Dodgers his entire career since being called up in 2006. Ethier is making $15.5 million but has been a two time all star, one time silver slugger award winner, and one time golden glove winner. Ethier has been a staple part of the Dodgers offense as well as having a defensive impact in the field.

1. Jacoby Ellsbury – $21.1 Million

Jacoby Ellsbury originally played for the Boston Red Sox, where he won two World Series, but signed with the Yankees just this season. The center fielder is earning $21.1 million from the Yankees and is the highest paid in the league. He currently has a .283 batting average with a .349 on base percentage.
