Charlie Sheen is an American actor with a net worth of an estimated $125 million. Sheen has appeared in several films, but is most well known for his role in the highly successful television series Two and a Half Men.
Carlos Irwin Estevez was born on September 3, 1965 in New York, New York. He is the youngest son of actor Martin Sheen and artist Janet Templeton. His older brother is actor Emilio Estevez. At Santa Monica High School, Sheen showed interest in acting with his brother, Rob Lowe, and Sean Penn. A few weeks before graduating, he failed out of school because of grades and decided to change his stage name to Charlie Sheen and pursue acting full-time.
Sheen’s film career began in the 1984 Cold War drama Red Dawn starring Patrick Swayze, C. Thomas Howell, Lea Thompson, and Jennifer Grey. Sheen’s first major role was in the 1986 Vietnam War drama Platoon, a film that grossed over $138.5 million domestically.
