The 10 Most Annoying Things about Being a Billionaire

The Top Billionaire Problems

You would think that billionaires have it completely made with their mansions, car collections, and their private yacht. However that is not always the case. Everyone has problems and issues to put up with, including billionaires. The thing is there are certain types of problems that only billionaires really experience. When you’re richer than 99% of the worlds population, a lot of people will come after you looking for handouts. So what are some of the things that billionaires have to put up with on a day to day basis? Let’s take a look at the top ten most irritating things about being a billionaire.

10. Keeping track of your financials

Sure, you’re a billionaire and you’re set for life. Even your grandchildren will be set thanks to the trust fund that you have set up for them, but that doesn’t mean you can just forget about your financials. Whether it’s keeping track of the property taxes generated from your four houses or examining how much your employees made at your Fortune 500 company, attending to financial duties as a billionaire is generally more work and more tiresome than someone who earns an average living. You just simply have more expenses to keep track of.

9. Dealing people who want your money

On a semi-related note, another annoying thing about being a billionaire is dealing with all the people that want a slice of your pie. The world is filled with free-loaders looking for a handout, so you’ve got to keep track of who you keep close to your money. You’ll often wonder as a billionaire if that new friend you made is genuine with their intentions, or they are just befriending you for your money.

8. Having to charter a private jet because yours needs repair

So you’ve decided to finally take that trip to the Maldives, but there is a big problem: you’re private jet isn’t ready. It either needs repairs or you’re crew isn’t ready to fly. You cannot be bothered with waiting around for that to get sorted, so you will unfortunately have to use a private jet charter company to fly out for vacation. Sigh.

7. Keeping track of your pet peacocks

So you’ve got an amazing mansion with hundreds of acres of property in the south of France. Naturally you’ll want some peacocks as pets, because, well, you can. Peacocks are beautiful and exotic and make for the perfect pet for billionaires. But there’s one issue: they like to roam. Even though peacocks can’t really fly, they like to explore and roam around. Now you have to deal with talking to your neighbor because your peacock was walking around their property and destroying their vineyard. What a hassle.

6. Wondering if your spouse/significant other really loves you

This is a common problem experienced by wealthy individuals: wondering if their spouse or significant other truly loves them, or that they are only with them for their money. Gold diggers come in all shapes and sizes, regardless of gender, and they often can be difficult to spot. As a billionaire, dating and marriage is more complicated because you have to really make sure that your loved one isn’t just using you for your cash.

5. Vetting crew members for your yacht

This is a real and annoying issue that billionaires have to deal with. So you just purchased a $150 million dollar superyacht and you need to higher a crew of 15 to operate it, because obviously you aren’t going to be sailing it. You need to make sure that your crew is experienced and are easy to get along with because they will also be living on your yacht when you sail the oceans.

4. Choosing which car to drive

Another annoying thing about being a billionaire is having to choose what car to drive. Naturally, as a billionaire, you have a Porsche, a Ferrari, a Rolls-Royce, and two BMW’s. How could you possible pick just one to take out for the day? Do you want a fast supercar or a luxury vehicle? Too many choices. Better just get you personal driver to take you out in your Maybach.

3. Worrying about if your children will become spoiled and entitled

Jokes aside, this is a legitimate annoyance about being a billionaire. You amassed your great fortune yourself through hard work and determination, but your kids haven’t really done anything. No one likes spoiled and entitled rich kids, yet they are out there. So you’ve got to do your best in raising them to ensure that they won’t become snobby.

2. Wondering if someone is going to sue you

Since you’re a billionaire that has three businesses and you own stock in many others, you often find yourself worrying about if someone is going to potentially sue you. All it takes is for you to rear-end someone at a stop sign doing 8mph in your Bugatti Veyron, and suddenly they’re claiming that their “neck hurts”. Next thing you know, you’ve got a lawsuit on your hands. But it’s okay, you’ve got a legal team of lawyers who charge $1,000 per hour.

1. Dealing with everyone taking pictures of your Ferrari

This is another issue that not only billionaires have to deal with, but anyone that owns an expensive car. It doesn’t matter if its a Ferrari, Lamborghini, or a McClaren, but everywhere you drive people are constantly looking at your car and taking unsolicited pictures of it. Everywhere you drive, people will rev their engines at you and make stupid comments like “I bet that cost a lot”. You’re right sir, my Ferrari did cost a lot, thanks for pointing that out to me.
