Katy Perry Wears Three Designer Looks in World Tour

May 7th marked the first performance of mega-star Katy Perry’s Prismatic World Tour in Belfast in Northern Ireland. Known for her kitschy songs and entertaining looks, Katy Perry is one of the most popular pop singers in the world at the moment. Her costume and wardrobe designs never fail to amaze, and her ensembles for the Prismatic World Tour will not disappoint. The superstar teamed up with world-class designers Valentino and Roberto Cavalli to create three of her tour looks, and each one is sure to wow.

Design house Valentino created a ball gown for the superstar singer. This haute couture gown is designed to resemble a butterfly with large sleeves and bold colors. The full skirt features hundreds of smaller butterflies, which will help to create a mystic illusion when the singer takes the stage in this designer gown.

Roberto Cavalli designed two special looks for Perry. The first is something called the Kaleidoscope Brode dress. The embroidery on the dress is done with prism crystals as well as sequins and iridescent micro baguettes. The dress also features a holographic mirror effect. Cavalli created this effect using tulle plastron and patchwork leather mofits. Combined, they create 3D reflections.

The Crocodile Scarab is the second look Roberto Cavalli created for Katy Perry to wear in concert. This piece features a full skirt with pleats and a micro top created out of multicolored mirrored leather. It’s called the Crocodile Scarab because there is a crocodile silhouette on the multilayered mousseline silk lame skirt that’s covered with a very thin layer of silver powder that helps it to really shine. Perry will complete this look with a Cavalli leather biker jacket with a holographic reptile motif. All in all, the three designer looks she will don for her world tour are sure to wow her audiences.
