People tour an exhibit at the Newseum dedicated to John F. Kennedy

John F. Kennedy is a United States president that will always be discussed due to his unfortunate passing in the brutal assassination that is frequently discussed within school and society. Despite there still being so much mystery surrounding the former president’s death, pieces of his life are still highly sought after by collectors and people everywhere. Anything from the Kennedy estate or that pops up on the internet will sell for insanely high values at any auctions. Recently, the latest piece of JFK memorabilia to hit the acution floor are wedding photo negatives that document the JFK marriage, which plenty of people seem to want to get their hands on.

The collection of photos include 13 original and never seen negatives from the photo reel of John F. and Jaqueline Kennedy’s wedding. The pieces are being sold by the Boston, MA based RR Auction but have blown up to grab a national amount of attention. The wedding was held in Newport, Rhode Island back on September 12, 1953 and Frank Ataman was the photographer for the day. The pictures are sized at 3.75 x 5 with four displaying the Kennedy couple while two show the entire wedding party and the rest of the photos are general ones of the cake, reception, and people in attendance.

These aren’t the only items that were included in the auction; other pieces are a John and Jaqueline Kennedy holiday card that is from 1963 that happened to be autographed by the president in the final days of his life before being assassinated. There is also a 1962 Kennedy presidential document that will catch the interest of some history enthusiasts. The auction was held between September 26th and October 15th, and hopefully sold the items for appropriate prices.
