Dubai Police Adds Luxury Motorcycle Cam Am Spyder To Fleet

Can Am Spyder

Could you imagine any police force in America riding in cars, trucks, and motorcycles straight out of a James Bond movie? Well, for people Dubai that’s more or less a reality, as the Dubai Police have added a new superbike, a Can Am Spyder, to their army of luxury vehicles.

The reason for this new acquisition, according to Major General Khamis Al Mazeina, chief of the Dubai Police, is to upgrade patrols and increase and better establish police presence at tourist sites in the emirate. Additionally, Mazeina stated that the Dubai Police are also attempting to keep up with international standards to ensure the safety and security of Dubai’s citizens, and the Can Am Spyder can be of use in both narrow streets and also for indoor events, which made it a particularly attractive option.

The Spyder, a three-wheeled motorcycle manufactured by Canadian firm Bombardier Recreational Products, is now painted in traditional white and green colors of Dubai’s police department. The motorcycle joins the police’s ever-growing collection of supercars. The Dubai Police already possess a Bugatti Veyron, a McLaren MPD-12C, and an incredibly rare Aston Martin One-77 (See, I wasn’t exaggerating about the James Bond cars).

This influx of luxury vehicles has been an ongoing project for the Dubai police department since 2013. Just recently, in April, they added a Lamborghini Aventador and a Ferrari FF and also increased their collection of sports cars with a Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG and a Bentley Continental GT in May. Since May, additional luxury vehicles that have been collected are an Audi R8, a Mercedes G class Brabus, a Nissan GTR, and a Mercedes SL 63.

Not going to lie, if you get to drive one of these cars as a Dubai police officer, that doesn’t sound like the worst gig in the world to me.
