Bogota, Columbia Gets into the Luxury Market with Two Four Seasons Hotels

Santa Barbara

The Four Seasons Hotels and resorts company has expanded their empire all around the world and continues to build locations wherever possible. The company has recently partnered up with The Gilinski Group, a South American banking, real estate and industrial company, to open up two properties in Bogota, Columbia. These will be the first Four Seasons locations in the country and should see lots of success for offering upscale resorts in a luxury location.

The two companies are restoring the old historic locations in Bogota; the Hotel Casa Medina Bogota and the Hotel Charleston Bogota. Both of these hotels were closed down back in December of last year to begin the major renovations needed, but the hotels will be re-opened sometime later in 2015 for guests.

Columbia has majorly improved as a country over the years and provides a beautiful location for everyone to visit. The Four Seasons recognizes the historic value in the two properties and the opportunity that they have to preserve the former resorts as well as expand their business. The properties sit in the financial district of Bogota and are both very luxurious and attractive to guests exploring the area.

South America is seeing a major increase in the amount of tourists traveling to the country. Luxury travelers are the biggest crowd because they can afford to seek out niche places like Bogota. Columbia has been growing immensely and the addition of these two Four Seasons hotels will continue to aid that growth and draw more tourism to the location. The Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts always seek out popular and successful locations, and Columbia is definitely growing, which makes this a great business decision. Using two historical properties will attract more people as well as show that the company cares about the culture behind Bogota.
