Beach House from Something’s Gotta Give Sells for $41 Million

Day Two - Berlinale International Film Festival

The famous home from the movie Something’s Gotta Give has been sold for $41 million. The beach house from the movie starring Diane Keaton and Jack Nicholson that was released back in 2003 is a beautiful property that everyone would want to live at. The property is an 8,000 square foot shingle style mansion located in New York that was originally built in 2000 and is neighbored by Calvin Klein, Henry Kravis and Leon Black.

The beach house’s original owner, Alan Meckler, originally bought the land plot for just $5.5 million in 1999, eventually building the massive home on the two acres of property. He moved into the home with his family during 2000, but now is turning a huge profit from the sale.

The mansion has 11 bedrooms and gorgeous interiors that are different compared to what is seen in the film. For Something’s Gotta Give, they filmed inside the home on a Hollywood stage. Otherwise, the home is very private and quiet and offers magnificent views of the beach and ocean.

The home’s shingle style is perfect for a beach house and fits right in to make things perfect. Anyone would love to live in this house, and while it’s $41 million, someone with the money will come and snatch the property up instantly. It was purchased by the hotel mogul, Jimmy Tisch, who is the CEO of the Loews Corporation. He purchased the mansion in an off market deal for $41 million and now joins the luxurious owners on Meadow Lane.
