Is This the World’s Most Expensive Toothbrush?

A

We’re starting to feel bad for the guy who is in charge of locating the “most expensive” items around the world. Seriously, the most expensive toothbrush in the world? It’s clearer now more so than ever that this might never end. Anyway, Swedish manufacturer FOREO is looking to change the electric toothbrush game. The company contests that only about 31% of Americans have adopted the electric toothbrush and because of that innovation behind the product has never taken off. FOREO has taken it upon themselves to make it happen. While they are launching a new line of electric toothbrushes that seek to answer the issues from today’s models, they’ve also (just like everyone else) launched a limited-edition brush as well.

The Issa Platinum and Issa 18-carat are pretty exclusive – so exclusive that there is only going to be one of each made. With that said, you can snag it for what looks like about $3,000 and $2,000. This may be the first time owning a “most-expensive” is a distinct possibility.

Back to the brush – The model promises a “hygienic, gentle clean” due to high intensity pulsations channeled into the silicone bristles. It is promised to last longer than the typical model and can be used over 300 times before needing a charge. Pretty crazy. The regular models are currently on IndieGoGo for $199. We’ll see if this catches any steam…
