Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, which means for those in a relationship you will most likely have to go through the process of planning a great evening with your loved one. Typically most people purchase chocolates or flowers for their significant other, but some people use this “holiday” to make a statement of affection. The Swiss watchmaker Bovet has recently just delivered two new watches that have Valentine’s Day in mind. They are calling them the “Tribute to Love” watches and they are part of the companies Amadeo Fleurier collection. The company has been around since 1822, making them no strangers to the industry. The watch is a fairly straight-forward time piece: it displays the hours, minutes, has a small seconds face, and a power reserve indicator on the face.
The watch will come in two different version. One will feature a ruby-red face paired with an 18 karat white-gold case, while the other will features a chocolate brown face paired with 18-karat rose-gold face and a brown leather strap. Both are perfect for the upcoming occasion. Now the watch can also be detached from its straps and used as a pocket watch or a small table-top watch.The back of the watch is made from translucent sapphire glass allowing the owner to see the watches beautiful mechanical movement in action.
Now these watches are certainly not inexpensive gifts at all, given that Bovet is a luxury company. The chocolate-brown version will retail for $46,000 dollars, while the ruby-red version will be a bit more expensive at $49,500 dollars.
