Vacheron Constantin Introduces new $369,200 Watch

Vacheron Constantin

Once you delve a little deeper into the world of high-end timepieces, you will realize there are some truly superior brands and companies out there whose products redefine the world “luxury”. Most of them are from Switzerland, and one of these leading brands would be Vacheron Constantin.

The company formed up in 1755 and their watches have even been worn by people like Pope Pius XI and Napoleon Bonaparte. So one would expect a company like this to deliver a superior product, and they have proven themselves yet again with the new Ultra-Thin Grande Complication Chronograph Caliber 3500, from their new Harmony Collection.

Advertised as “the worlds thinest self-winding, split-seconds chronograph” the Ultra-Thin Grande Complication Chronograph Caliber 3500 is pretty impressive. Well at least it should be impressive as it costs nearly $370,000 dollars. Apparently this watch has been in development since 2008, and it is finally released within the Harmony Collection to celebrate the companies 260 year anniversary.

To get the technical specs out of the way, this watch has a platinum case, a mechanical self-winding movement, 459 parts, a gold peripheral oscillating weight, a split-second monopusher chronograph, a power-reserve indicator, a sapphire crystal back, and more. The watch also has their logo on the back, including the words “260th Anniversary” engraved on the underside. On the back we also have what number of watch this is, as only ten are being produced. The company has managed to pack all of that into a timepiece that is just 0.32 inches thick.

Stylistically speaking, the watch is conservative and beautiful. It’s not necessarily making any large and bold fashion statements, but at the same time its certainly more than beautiful enough to attract a considerable level of attention. Honestly that’s where this watch excels: its not flashy or in your face, but you can recognize the status attached to it, kind of like looking at a Rolls-Royce. It’s also kind of like purchasing one to, as both have incredible price-tags. But that’s what you get when dealing with a brand like this, the work packed into the watch, and how only ten are being made: nothing but excellence.
