The Angelus U20 Ultra-Skeleton Tourbillon is an Incredible Work of Art

Angelus U20 Ultra-Skeleton Tourbillon

Ahead of its official Baselworld release, Angelus has recently shown of their newest creation, the U20 Ultra-Skeleton Tourbillon. Featuring a clear face, high-end materials, and a floating mechanical movement, this great timepiece from the Swiss brand is an incredible work of art.

The Angelus U20 Ultra-Skeleton Tourbillon is made from sapphire, carbon fiber, and titanium. Angelus first designed the skeleton movement, and then constructed the rest of the watch around it. The case measures out to be 42mm x 10.3mm, and with it’s unique display, the caliber A-250 looks as though it is floating in air. The watches movement is based on a sapphire main plate with blue titanium bridges, and instead of a traditional dial, they’ve opted for clear sapphire. Nearly every component in this watch has been skeletonized, which is why it’s just so pleasing to look at.

The watch’s balance wheel is connected to the pieces one-minitue flying tourbillon. Angelus did this in an effort to counteract the effects of gravity that could disrupt the watches movement. The watch also features 18 jewels, a 90 hour power reserve, a black alligator leather strap, and it’s even water proof up to 30 meters.

In total Angelus will only be producing just 18 examples of this beautiful timepiece. We’ll have to wait a little longer until Baselworld to hear about pricing, but we imagine that it’s going to be quite expensive. Regardless if you’re an avid watch collector that loves unique timepieces, the U20 Ultra-Skeleton Tourbillon is in a league of its own.
