A Show-Stopping Time Masterpiece: Girard-Perregaux Tri-Axial Tourbillon

Girard-Perregaux Tri-Axial Tourbillon

At Baselworld, a convention dedicated to the craft of high-end watch making, watch companies come together to show of their latest products and inventions. It’s kind of like a car show, if every car at that show was a million dollar supercar. We see some of the most incredible timepieces unveiled and it takes a lot for one to really wow the crowd. Well Girard-Perregaux showed off their new Tri-Axial Tourbillon recently and it was pretty amazing, to say the least.

The original Tri-Axial Tourbillon was unveiled last year, however this new one is now available in white gold as opposed to its rose gold brother. The watch is extremely incredible given the complex movement and tourbillon that are inside. The tourbillon has three independent axes of rotation and it is made from hand out of 140 components, a fact that makes it like no other watch out there. The tourbillon beats at 3Hz and it floats above the watch to show off the amazing movement. The complex torubillon is protected with high-quality sapphire glass as well; all the features about this watch are extremely premium. Additionally the back of the watch is transparent allowing you to see in as well.

There have not been clear indicators as too how much the white gold model will cost, but the rose gold version from last year was priced at $503,000 dollars so we expect it to be similar to that. Like many other amazing Swiss watchmakers who like to only produce a few units of a particular model, Girard-Perregaux is only going to be making just ten of the white gold Tri-Axial Tourbillon so if you want one, you better act quick.
