How to Vacation like a Celebrity Without Being a Snob

How To Vacation Like a Celebrity without Being A Snob

One of the many benefits of being wealthy is that you have the luxury of taking vacations in some of the most incredible locations in the entire world. While you may not have the social popularity and fame associated with high-profile celebrities, you do have the money to lead a relatively similar lifestyle. However if you’re somewhat a person of class, then you know there’s a “right” way to vacation and then there’s the “wrong” way. There’s vacationing like Prince William, and then there’s vacationing like Charlie Sheen. If you want to take an incredible vacation and live like a celebrity without being snobbish about it, there are a few do’s and don’ts. Here’s how you can vacation like a Hollywood A-lister without being too arrogant.

Pick the right location

Now all of these are just suggestions, and you’re free to spend your money however you want or take whatever kind of vacation you’d like, but some ways of doing things are more “proper”. To vacation like a celebrity without being a snob all starts with picking the right location, or how you’re going to vacation. Are you going to take a private yacht a few hundred yards off Miami Beach and throw a massive party? Or are you going to book a private villa at a boutique hotel somewhere in the Caribbean. Both are awesome, but the private villa is arguably less snobbish. You have the money to spend on more expensive vacations like renting out secluded beach homes or staying in small resorts, so why wouldn’t you? You don’t have anything to prove, so there’s no reason to pick an over-the-top vacation destination.

Don’t act like you’re better than others

This should go without saying, but obviously just don’t act like your superior to others. Yes, you are staying in the largest suite at the hotel. Yes, you opted to have a private butler and a personal driver. But these facts don’t make it okay for you to go around and act like your better than people who are also on vacation.

Stop seeking attention

Some celebrities definitely seek out attention from paparazzi and fans, and there’s no reason that you need to do this. You don’t need to throw a massive, raging party out on your hotel suite’s balcony at 3AM. You’re on vacation to relax and get away from others, not to seek out attention.

Choose how you use social media

We live in an age where everyone shares every detail about their lives on social media, and this is increased ten fold when people go on vacation. However, it’s the way that certain celebrities go about posting on social media when vacationing. The “classier” celebrities keep their private lives, well, exactly that, private. Then there are some that go way overboard and share to much, and they post in a way that implies “I’m better than you”. Take a look at Dan Bilzerian’s Instagram page (warning, NSFW). Yeah, don’t be like that guy.

Take it easy and relax

You’re on vacation to relax and enjoy yourself, so just take things easy. It’s a simple as that. I’ve never met any “chill” people that are snobs. Think and act as if you were Jeff Bridges’ character from The Big Lebowski. Just take it easy and relax dude. There’s no need to show off when you’re on vacation. Also just be patient and understanding with the people at whatever resort you’re at, for example. Don’t be that guy who’s all “Don’t you know who I am!”. No one likes that guy.

Bring your friends

Celebrities more often than not have a crew with them when they go on vacation. You don’t need to prove to your friends that you aren’t a snob, but it doesn’t hurt to take them along. Besides it’s fun taking a vacation with all of your close friends.

Stop caring about others opinions

If you are as rich as a celebrity, then chances are people are going to hate on you. People get jealous of those that have more, it’s just human nature. So while your on vacation, stop worrying about what others think, it’s not worth your time or theirs. Relax, take it easy, and keep your vacation relatively private. Follow those simple steps, and you can vacation like a celeb without being a snob.
