What are the Top Trending Destinations of 2015?

London, England

The start of a new year means that plenty of new digital metrics are already being collected to determine many things, one being what the top worldwide travel destinations are. American Express Travel organized a list of the top ten travel destinations according to 800 consultants studying the choices of North American customers. While the list has plenty of the regular popular cities on it such as London, Paris and San Francisco, 2015 is possibly revealing that people are aiming to be a little more adventurous this year and go explore some new countries with their vacation times.

Among the more surprising choices that made the list, place like India, Chile, and the Turks and Caicos cracked the list to change things up a bit while locations such as New Zealand, Vietnam, Coatia, and Iceland are experiencing a massive rise in tourist interest from customers. It appears that people are seeking out vacations that offer newer experiences that have more customization available to enhance the overall trip. According to the research findings travelers are looking to check out new destinations where they can take wine tours or cooking classes; things that allow the people to get a true hands on cultural experience from wherever they are going.

Whether people are choosing to go back to countries they have already visited or are traveling for the first time ever, the interest in what there is to do is evolving and getting more creative. For instance, river cruises are seeing a lot more attention from travelers this year already. The information gathered also reveals that travelers are most likely to spend extra money on upgrading their hotel room in whichever ways possible for a more comfortable living experience while abroad. Overall, it’s great to see people willing to go explore new destinations and already booking exciting plans for the new year.
