Tignes is Becoming the Next Luxury Hot Spot

Tignes is a small French commune located Tarentaise Valley in the Alps of Southern France. The area itself is most prominently known for being a luxury ski resort area. The area was knowing for hosting the freestyle skiing event during the 1992 Winter Olympics and it helps co-host the 1992 Winter Paralympics. After those events the area itself kind of died down somewhat; fewer people came to visit Tignes as it was kind of far away for most people. Tignes often is forgotten about as people choose to travel to other areas to ski in the alps, however recently it is making a comeback.

The resort of Tignes itself is comprised of 5 different villages : Val Claret, Tinges le Lac, Le Lavachet, Tignes Les Boisses, and Tignes-Les-Brévières. These villages provide ample access to the mountains and provide guests with luxury accommodations. In addition to the long ski season in Tignes that lasts from October to early May, guests have a variety of other things to do as well. There are many health and wellness centers in the resort, fitness clubs, concert halls, areas for businesses to have meetings, bars, pubs, high-adventure sport opportunities, and much more. So if skiing isn’t your thing than you can take helicopter rides, go rock climbing, mountain biking, paragliding, snowmobiling, and take a dog sled adventure for example.

The lodging areas at Tignes are to die for and provide guests with all the amazing amenities that one would expect. Tignes is a perfect place to get away from it all and spend some quality time with your family. You can book one single room to a large suite, and even get your own timeshare there. About two years ago Tignes was almost forgotten about, however people are quickly realizing that this beautiful area is highly accessibly and provides guests with a multitude of options for enjoyment.
