Situated on the eastern tip of the British Virgin Islands in the Caribbean is a luxurious and beautiful area known as Oil Nut Bay. The bay is apart of a private peninsula on the island, and it is probably the most exclusive area around. If you are seeking the ultimate exotic beach getaway to travel to, Oil Nut Bay is truly a jewel.
The only way to get here is by boat or helicopter, as it is just that remote. But once you come, you’ll immediately see why many people choose to live here year round. Typically the people that own property here are either wealthy billionaires or famous celebrities, but there are a few homes and villas that you can rent out for yourself. But again, you’ll be paying quite the premium here.
As you can begin to tell from the pictures, Oil Nut Bay is certainly very beautiful. One of the reasons it’s so great, is that it has been intentionally left largely undeveloped and preserved. While other parts of the British Virgin Islands and the Caribbean are filled with tourist towns and massive resorts, Oil Nut Bay is the complete opposite. This is also another reason as to why it is expensive to vacation here. There are only 88 homes in total here at Oil Nut Bay, and they are spread across over 300 acres of land. Each property has been developed in such away ensuring that the home fits in with the “theme” of the area. The townsfolk have done a great job preserving the area for sure.
Oil Nut Bay is not only the nicest destinations that the British Virgin Islands have to offer, it may be one of the nicest destinations in the entire Caribbean. The bay and surrounding are have been preserved over the years and it is something that we don’t often find in the world anymore.
